Affordable Housing Commission Vacancies
The City of Dayton Affordable Housing Commission (AHC) has three vacancies to fill. Meetings will be held in conformance with the Washington State Affordable Housing Commission. Qualifications for appointment include residency in the City of Dayton, passion/interest in affordable housing, no other servitude on other council-appointment commissions, and current voter registration in Columbia County. Appointments are made by the Mayor and may be for a term of to three years per DMC 1-14.

Planning Commission Vacancy
The City of Dayton Planning Commission has a vacancy. The Commission will meet monthly at City Hall. Qualifications for appointment include residency of the City of Dayton, current voter registration in Columbia County, interest in environmental affairs, planning, land use, and residential and commercial development as evidenced by training, work experience, education, or general interest. The Commission provides citizen review and makes formal recommendations. Appointments are made by the Mayor and may be for a term of up to four years as per DMC 1-13.

Dayton Historic Preservation Commission - 1 Vacancy
The purpose of the historic preservation commission is to provide for identification, evaluation, designation and protection of historic and cultural resources within the City of Dayton and to preserve and rehabilitate eligible historic resources within the city,
Eligibility requirements:
- Demonstrated interest and/or competence in historic preservation
- Must live in the city limits (requirement may be waived by council)
- Experience or interest in identifying, evaluating, and protecting historic resources. Experience may be derived from the disciplines of history, architecture, historic preservation, planning, real estate, and others.
