Dayton Levee Rehabilitation Project

Notice is hereby posted to inform the public of the upcoming rehabilitation to the Dayton levee. This rehabilitation is to restore damages sustained during the February 2020 flood events.

  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is the lead agency for this rehabilitation project
  • The USACE has contracted with a private contractor to perform the rehabilitation construction work
  • The contractor will mobilize to the sites on Oct. 9, 2020
  • Construction is anticipated to run from Oct. 13 - Nov. 14 between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (Mon. - Fri.)
  • Levee path closures are anticipated - construction sites should be avoided by the public to ensure public and contractor safety. The contractor will be putting up barricades to close and/or limit access to work areas
  • There are 9 total sites that will be rehabilitated during this project. Sites 2, 3, 4, and 5 are within the city limits of Dayton. The remaining sites are in unincorporated Columbia County
