The Public Works Department maintains and operates several different divisions, including city streets and alleyways, water and wastewater systems, the city cemetery, public parks, and animal control.

Public Works Development Requirements:

All public and private development that includes design and construction of water, sanitary sewer, streets or storm water elements is required to conform to the City of Dayton Public Works Standards.  Anyone interested in developing a public or private project is encouraged to contact City staff before commencing work.
